In Loving Memory of Our Father Nhia Chou Vang

Nhia Chou Vang

 

My father was born in Somboun, Laos on the 12th of September 1950. My father’s parents are Ga Vue Vang and Va Chang. My father has five brothers; Nao Toua Vang, Va Phia Vang, Nhia Chou Vang, Va Lor Vang, and Kao Vang.

 

My father was a man of many words. He loves story-telling late at night, spending time with all his loved ones, family members, and relatives. He was a father that shared laughter and wisdom with elders. However, when he speaks, he is humble. He always attends family and community gatherings.

 

My father was a kind and wise person. He always said that as a person, whoever has helped you, you should always remember and return their kindness, hard work, and support. My dad was also a shaman who helped friends and relatives. He helped them with pure kindness.

 

My father has been diagnosed with many health complications. He had high blood pressure, high blood sugar (diabetes), kidney disease, and cholesterol. These prolonged health complications made him develop heart disease, congested heart failure, and peripheral neuropathy disease. As of the 29th of January 2022, my father passed and he left behind his family, relatives, and friends.

 

Lastly, my father's funeral will be held at Hmong Memorial Chapel in Fresno, California on March 12th, 13th, and 14th 2022. We invite you to come and see our father for the last time.
