In Loving Memory Of Peter Sosa

On the afternoon of October 2nd while on a bike ride in his Bakersfield neighborhood, our beloved Peter Sosa was struck by a vehicle and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. With a puncture in his stomach, broken femur, pelvis, humerus bone and extensive internal bleeding he fought for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for for 2 weeks.
Once stabilized, doctors were able to perform surgeries to start his healing process. Unfortunately, this also lead to the development of blood clots and a longer stay in the ICU. He showed great signs of improvement and was transferred to a rehabilitation center to further his recovery and adjust to walking again and regaining his strength.
Devastatingly, after 2 days in the rehabilitation center, he lost his fight.
We lost our amazing, feisty, funny, caring and loving Peter Saturday, October 31, 2020.
We are reaching out to our family and friends and asking for assistance to cover service costs and medical expenses during this tragic and untimely loss. We appreciate everything from donations and prayers to kind words and flowers. Everything helps make it a little easier during such a traumatic experience and shocking loss to our family.
