In loving Memory of Rafa Dinglasan

Dear Community,

As friends of the Dinglasan family, we reach out to you humbly asking for financial support to help cover hospital costs for a grieving family at this most difficult of time.

Our dear friend Rafa Dinglasan sadly lost his battle with COVID 19 on the 13th September 2021, age just 53. Rafa leaves behind him two amazing teenage girls Eneka and Marina and a devoted wife Lala who will all desperately miss him.

Rafas story.

Rafa was always a man with a big heart, boundless energy and infectious personality. When a distant family member asked him for help with a business venture, Rafa reluctantly obliged to meet them outdoors at a cafe as they had been isolating from COVID due to only recently having the second vaccine.

During this meeting, the wife of the relative suddenly collapsed. Without hesitating Rafa, jumped into action performing CPR chest compressions on the lady and managed to save her life. This however came at the ultimate price for him.

It transpires that the lady had COVID 19, who passed it onto to Rafa and subsequently his whole family. After an arduous wait both Rafa and Lala were admitted to hospital as their condition had deteriorated. Thankfully Lala pulled through, however Rafa was having more difficulties, suffering from a Cytokine Storm immune reaction and transferred to ICU for Intubation. Being the fighter that he is, Rafa clung to life for the next week, showing signs of improvements day on day. Unfortunately this was not to last, his brain had been denied enough oxygen and with great sadness he lost his battle in life and won his place in heaven.

We are all so deeply sad for him and his whole family, who only three weeks ago had vibrant future ahead of them.

Due to the amount of time spent in hospital, and all the specialist care needed, this hard working family have exhausted all of their life savings and now face an uncertain future at the most difficult of times

The family would be eternally grateful for any donations however big or small to help them cover the remaining hospital fees and funeral costs, and giving them some respite to grieve without added financial worry.
