In Loving Memory of Rhonda Conrad

Rhonda Lynne Conrad passed away in her home on November 26, 2021. She will be incredibly missed by her family, friends, and community.

 

After the marriage of the local footfall star to a beautiful cheerleader, Rhonda Lynne Conrad was born into a Longmont pioneer family. She took great pride in her early settler heritage. Rhonda was a unique individual with a huge heart and giving nature. She loved children and animals. Her house was usually full of pets, especially animal friends to whom she was giving a forever home. Rhonda worked at the Longmont Public Library for 36 years taking exceptional care of the building, patrons, and staff. She worked longer and harder than most and took great pride in her work. Rhonda considered the library staff her adoptive family. If someone needed something Rhonda would do her best to help them out. She was a much appreciated and well-loved member of the library family.

 

Rhonda was also enamored with the paranormal, even hosting spirit-sensing sessions at several of the City’s historic buildings. In Richard Estep's Haunted Longmont he mentions Rhonda in the Acknowledgements.

 

Rhonda leaves behind her step-father Pep, her daughter Shanon, and five grandchildren. Her oldest grandchild, Lane, lived with Rhonda for the past year helping around the house and helping to maintain the beautiful backyard that was Rhonda’s special place. Rhonda is also survived by a large extended family of cousins and many, many loving friends. A celebration of life will take place in the Spring of 2022.
