In Loving Memory of Robert Gonzales

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we would like to share Robert’s story with family and friends, as you may already know we recently lost our beloved brother, nephew, cousin, and friend Robert Gonzales.  Robert meant so much to so many people more than I think he even knew.  If you knew him you know how kind hearted and as harmless he was.  I want to start with how Robert lost his life on Friday October 11, 2019 to an Aortic Aneurysm.  He was riding his bike home when he fell off because of loss of strength he began to spit up blood and called his aunt and uncle for help.  When they arrived and saw his condition, they called 911.  He was rushed to the nearest Emergency Room by paramedics and was told he could possibly have pneumonia and would receive IV antibiotics.  Eventually that night the doctors found that he was suffering from a rupture in his heart and he was then transported to Keck USC so that he can undergo surgery.   Surgery lasted about 30 minutes and then his heart just stopped beating.  We are unsure if this may or may not have been related Marfans Syndrome that he knew of from a very young age.  Robert had many struggles throughout his life he tried holding jobs, tried applying for SSI and denied multiple times.  He did not have a savings or life insurance for himself he was always just trying to make it one day at a time.

We would love to raise money to give Robert the best Memorial possible.  Robert had a rough upbringing and was raised by his grandmother who he lost at the age of 17.  Thankfully, he had his aunt and uncle who provided him with a place to stay and to be surrounded by family and love.  Some family and friends have reached out to offer help in any way possible so we created this page to share with all of you and hope that you can find it in your heart to help in any way possible.  Thank you everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers during this time!  We love you all!
