In Loving Memory of Robert Irvin
Donation protected
Robert Irvin suddenly and unexpectedly passed away earlier this week, and the shock and disbelief has stayed with all of his loved ones since. As many of us try to navigate through one of the hardest moments of our lives, I wanted to make this GoFundMe on behalf of Robert’s son, Brenden, his legal next-of-kin and only living son. He would really appreciate any assistance paying for various funeral and burial costs, laying Robert to rest in Las Vegas, as well as any other costs associated with the process.
Anyone who knew Robert loved him dearly. He would walk into a room and effortlessly befriend every person in there. He was funny, sarcastic, kind, selfless, and always put other people before him. Most of these sound like a cliche that everyone says when someone passes, but Robert truly embodied every one of those qualities. In the time that I got to know Robert, he treated me like one of his own and went out of his way to make us laugh, smile, and create amazing memories with us. I’ll forever be grateful for him, and I’m confident all of his family and friends feel the same.
There’s a saying that I really like: “Grief is just love with no where to go.” Except I personally believe that all of that excess love has a lot of places to go… to other loved ones, to all of the conversations about our favorite memories of him, to the knowing and loving hugs without saying a word. The grief is extra heavy because Robert positively impacted everyone he met, but the love that we’ve felt has also been extra strong. Robert lived his life in a brave way that many are too scared to do: he embraced every moment, he never took his time here for granted, and he was constantly looking for the next exciting adventure. May we all take notes from Robert and fully cherish the time we have here on earth and with our families and friends. Rest in peace and ride on, Robert.
Much love,
Megyn
