My grandfather Robert K. Mabee Sr., 85 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia where he was currently residing.

Services will be held Saturday, January 27,2024

from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Traub Funeral Home, Rt 31 Bridgeport. His burial will be private at the Pine Plains Cemetery in Kirkville.

Bob was born in Scotia, NY, to the late Frank and Margaret Mabee on December 7, 1938. Bob married Maureen Purcell and was preceded in death in 1988. He then married Patricia Coessens and moved to Atlanta, GA in their later years.

Bob was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He belonged to the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Dept, where he was a lifetime member. Bob's passion was football. He was one of the original founders of Cicero Falcons Pop Warner Football Program, where he dedicated his time for over 35 years. Bob could often be found mentoring his young football players.
