In loving memory of Robert Letson Monk

Hi everyone, we are Lisa and Mike Monk. The unimaginable happened on March 24, 2023, as our son passed away in our home. Rob is not our blood but he is our son and forever we will mourn the loss of him.

Rob was only 22 years young when he left us. He was a loving, kind hearted and such a hardworking man that everyone loved. His big smile and positive energy filled every room he entered.

Rob had a very tough childhood and overcame so much. His biological parents abandoned him as a young boy and he had been back and forth between grandparents, aunts, friends and us in San Diego, CA. He truly turned his life around as he became a young man and started paving a path for others to show his family and friends a better way of life. He was always so positive with whatever life threw at him, and life threw a lot his way.

He worked as a waterproofer and turned his job into a career for himself. Rob learned how much hard work pays off and wanted to share his success with everyone he loved.

We as a family have faced tremendous challenges since this unexpected tragedy occurred. With the cleaning expense (Biohazard cleaning) plus the expenses of all that goes into a funeral, that is when we realized that we needed help from our community.

We are hoping with help, we can close this dark chapter and learn how to live this new life.
