In Loving Memory of Rodolfo Arteaga

Rodolfo Arteaga, father, exemplary husband, unconditional friend, sports fan, and most important, lover of life; passed away on April 23rd after fighting for more than a month caused by a blood infection caused by an intestinal complication. Said infection generated multi-organ failure in his body. The medications used to control it caused irreparable damage to his hands and feet until he completely lost circulation in his extremities. Had he been able to overcome the blood infection, the amputation of his hands and feet would have been inevitable. We cannot explain the suffering, pain, and constant struggle that our friend Rodolfo went through every day he spent in the intensive care unit. He fought for his life on a daily basis in order to continue providing for his family.

Our great friend was responsible for his beautiful daughter Maria Claudia, his two sons Santiago & Rodolfo Jesus, and his beautiful and brave wife Ivonne. He also provided financial support for his sisters María Teresa, María Eugenia, and Betulia Rosa, who reside in Venezuela.

There are few people in this world whom we can classify as unforgettable. Rodolfo was one of them. He was characterized by facing with joy and integrity every obstacle that life presented to him, always extending a helping hand to all those who needed it. Rodolfo was always the best companion for any situation, whether it was a pleasant one or a complicated one.

No family is prepared to face this situation, and that it will take a long time for them to recover from this heartbreaking loss. For this reason, we have created this GoFundMe to help this beautiful family recover financially. All the funds that we raise will be directed to Rodolfo's wife, Mrs. Ivonne, who now, due to destiny's choices, will be the person in charge of her family. Any donation will help them cover any of Rodolfo’s medical expenses, and also, to help them stay on their feet while their pain passes.

Rodolfo Arteaga, padre de familia, esposo ejemplar, amigo incondicional, aficionado de los deportes y más importante amante de la vida; falleció el pasado 23 de Abril después de llevar una lucha de más de un mes causada por un infección en la sangre provocada por una complicación intestinal. Dicha infección generó una falla multiorgánica en su cuerpo y los medicamentos que se utilizaron para controlarla provocaron un daño irreparable en sus manos y pies, hasta perder por completo la circulación en sus extremidades. De haber podido superar la infección en la sangre, la amputación de sus manos y pies hubiese sido inevitable. No podemos explicar el sufrimiento, dolor y la lucha constante por la cual nuestro amigo Rodolfo pasó cada día, con la única meta de sobrevivir para seguir siendo el soporte de su familia.

Nuestro gran amigo era responsable de su preciosa hija Maria Claudia, sus 2 hijos Santiago & Rodolfo Jesus y su hermosa y valiente esposa Ivonne, además de servir de apoyo económico para sus hermanas María Teresa, María Eugenia y Betulia Rosa, que actualmente residen en Venezuela.

Hay pocas personas en este mundo a las cuales podemos catalogar como inolvidables y Rodolfo fue una de ellas. Él siempre se caracterizó por enfrentar con alegría y entereza cada obstáculo que la vida le presentó, y también por siempre tender una mano amiga a todos aquellos que la necesitaron. Rodolfo siempre fue el mejor compañero para los momentos de alegría y tristeza,

Es obvio que ninguna familia está preparada para afrontar esta situación y que tomará mucho tiempo para que ellos logren recuperarse de su pérdida. Por esta razón es que hemos creado este GoFundMe para ayudar a esta hermosa familia a recuperarse financieramente. Todos los fondos que logremos recaudar serán dirigidos a la esposa de Rodolfo, la Sra. Ivonne, quien ahora por elecciones del destino será la persona encargada de su familia. Cualquier donación los ayudará a cubrir cualquier gasto médico generado por esta situación y a que logren mantenerse mientras pase su dolor.
