In loving memory of Rosie Guzman

My name is Raymond Guzman and I’m raising funds for my beloved mother Rosie Guzman who was the best mom ever. Mom took her last breath on Friday, July 21st and went to heaven. My mother was not just my mom but my best friend and confident! I miss her greatly and treasure the memories we shared together. She was my biggest cheerleader and supporter and I know that she is proud of me and will be guiding me here in the physical world. Mom died of COVID sepsis among other medical complications. Unfortunately mom didn’t have burial insurance or had made preparations. She often joked I’m going to live forever and so she will in God’s Kingdom. My mom was someone who everyone recognized as for many years she wore a tiara. Many thought she was unique and didn’t understand that she wore this because it made her feel beautiful and she said often God wanted he to wear it. I do believe God uses people to help others and perhaps her wearing a crown was a reminder to all women to stand in their power and remind themselves to be treated like Queens. I remember my mom dancing to Latin music called tejano music. She would hear a song and dance a cumbia. She always wore her makeup and had her makeup. Once she had dementia she began to forget things and found comfort having some baby dolls with her. She took them everywhere we went and often people did a second take and laughed once they knew they weren’t real. I was my moms protector and caregiver for many years. Although this disease robs your loved one from memories, I’m grateful my mom still remembered me up till the end. The last memory of my mom was her doing physical therapy and then I gave her a snicker candy bar as a reward. That brought the biggest smile to her face and meant so much to me. My mom can now rest in peace and will not longer suffer or be in physical pain. I know many people are struggling but I ask for any donation or contribution so I can at least lay my mom to rest.
