My mother had been hospitalized over 40 times since 03/23/2013 thru 05/15/2017 from UCLA Ronald Regan Medical Center and Torrance Memorial and multiple short-term rehabilitation centers. My mother has a history of Sepsis and went into Septic Shock. This is a body-wide response to infections. Septic Shock is a life-threatening low blood pressure due to sepsis. Having certain conditions is due to having a weakened immune system with certain chronic disorders with abnormalities that increase the risk. However, bacteria have spread into the bloodstream thru lungs abdomen or urinary tract. In my mother's Case, it has affected her kidneys, lung functions with blood clots.
My mother had a Liver Transplant on November 27, 1997, at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood California due to Autoimmune Hepatitis disease. Autoimmune hepatitis often can be controlled with drugs that suppress the immune system for life. She is on Immunosuppressant medications for anti-rejection of her liver that allow the translated organ to remain healthy and free from damage. However, the side effects of immunosuppressant medications increase the risk of infections and at a higher risk for cancer and other diseases. My mother was a Cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1990 and remission in 1991. Then diagnosed with Ovarian Stage 1 Cancer January 2012 and best cancer once again and she has been Cancer Free. My mother Still was battling many other many health issues that have developed within time such as Colitis, Pulmonary Coccidioidomycosis, Pulmonary Embolus, Liver Transplant Secondary to Autoimmune Hepatitis, Urinary Tract Infections, Sepsis Secondary to UTI. Seizers, Pyrexia, (MRSA) Meningitis and Emergency Rupture Bladder. Arthritis (Osteoporosis) which has affected her and now has degeneration of lumbosacral intervertebral disc, Compression fracture of thoracolumbar vertebra & scoliosis and severe chronic pain.
May 14, 2017, on Mother's Day at 12:36 pm she was rushed to the Hospital unresponsive and having multiple seizures. She had to be intubated because she couldn't breathe on her own due to having an infection in her lungs (pneumonia) and blood pressure dropping due to going into sepsis shock. Internally bleeding. On May 15, 2017, at 11:36 am her heart stopped.
I Love You Ama ❤️My heart & soul hurts & I know you are no longer pain. May You Rest In Peace Our prayers are that you find it in your heart if possible by helping relieve some financial pressure to help with funeral, medical and unexpected expenses.
