In loving memory of RUBEN Munoz, a NHS hero.

Yesterday April 17, 2020, Another hero has fallen, he lost his battle from COVID-19, we've lost a good friend, a good colleague and a dedicated healthcare worker. His name is Ruben Muñoz Jr. He worked for the NHS since 2010. He was a well-loved colleague at East Surrey Hospital. He was one of the staff who selflessly helped to look after patients afflicted with COVID-19. Not all of you might know him but he was very kind, funny and hardworking person. Patients always liked him. He was a good son, a good husband for his wife, and a good father for his two children.

My fellow colleagues and I from Woodland Ward decided to put up a fundraiser to assist his grieving family. We want to give back for the service and time he gave to the NHS.

I am asking you, my dear colleagues, friends, and the public to please try and generously raise money to cover funeral costs and to support a grieving family through an extremely difficult time. Especially as we will be unable to attend due to the current pandemic. I understand these are financially hard times and there are lots of other fundraisers currently running but even the smallest donation will be appreciated. It is the least we can all do to show sympathy and help to his family. We look forward to your support and kindness. Thank you. The amount that we will raise will go towards to Ruben's wife bank account, Ester Munoz.
