In Loving Memory of Rudy Wolter
It is with much sadness for our family to say, our father Rudy Wolter passed away on August 3rd, 2021. Rudy, 64, was taken much too early by an aggressive fatal disease called CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease).
Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is a rare, inevitable fatal brain disease. CJD is believed to be caused by abnormal isoform of a cellular glycoprotein known as the prion protein. The early signs of this disease are personality changes, memory loss, impaired thinking, insomnia, and difficulty speaking. Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is known as a one in a million disease.
Rudy Wolter peacefully passed away on August 3rd, 2021 after spending over two months in hospitals, a private medical jet flight from Tucson, AZ to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and spending everyday surrounded by the love of his four children. Rudy is and will always be known as a one in a million type of guy! While of course, the list of attributes of who Rudy was as a person could go on for pages - he was always the life of the party and every conversation. Rudy will be remembered as a phenomenal father, grandfather, businessman, and friend. He was an amazing mentor to many throughout their careers and helped in all ways possible. If you needed help, you knew Rudy Wolter was your go-to guy for help. He showed up in all ways possible, with family, friends, and in his career as well.
Rudy will be missed more than words could ever explain. As our family struggles with this loss, we have one hope throughout all of this. The children of Rudy Wolter would like Rudy to be remembered in a special way. We are asking, in lieu of flowers, for help in order to donate towards CJD research to help others in their future with this terrible terminal disease.
Join us in helping raise money to donate to CJD research in Rudy's name by contributing and sharing this campaign with your friends and family.
With much love, the Wolter family.
