In loving memory of Ryan Hoshaw.

In spite of his diagnosis with a rare genetic cancer, multiple subsequent surgeries and treatment regimens, Ryan Hoshaw never wanted to be the “cancer guy.” A quiet, kind and unassuming person, he just wanted to live a regular life and not have people treat him differently because of his health challenges, which were formidable. The last couple years in particular have been the most challenging, not only physically but financially as well. Ryan has not worked in more than two years. His wife, Carly, was working from home until her company had a sudden and unexpected downsizing in October 2023, leaving her looking for a new job at the worst possible time. After several months of a futile search for a new job that would allow her to work from home, she devoted her attention to being home manager and care giver. Ryan never wanted the kind of attention a fundraiser of any sort would bring. So we’ve never made any previous attempts to reach out for community help. But it is now necessary to help Carly deal with the accumulated bills, costs associated with his death, and try to regain some financial footing as she sorts out her future.
