In loving memory of Sadé Nicole Brooks

Hi. My name is Nyasjah Brooks and I am the oldest sister of our beloved Sadé. Sadé was tragically taken from us due to gun violence. This is very difficult time for our family right now.

On Sunday October 15th approximately 4:10 pm my sister was shot at approximately a dozen times in the front of my mother’s house. According to my stepfather and Sadé’s boyfriend she exchanged a little of four words to a childhood friend on the front porch and it ended in her death. She was then rushed to Grady Emergency Room, where she didn’t survive her injuries. My poor baby was only 17 when this incident happened. She would’ve been 18 in little over 3 weeks. Now I’m without a sister and my mother is now missing a child. This is a tragedy for us because we know exactly who did it but we don’t have the answers on why he did it.
