In loving memory of Samuel Colback

I’m Hannah and a friend of Lisa Colback mama of 14 (eldest passed 37 years ago) mum to ninja warrior Zed and mum in law to ninja warrior Sam)

I got a message yesterday of devestating news, their beautiful 24 year old Samuel had passed. I will share what the family have shared soon, but I just want to say as a friend how deeply my mama heart hurts for this family and I know Lisa will be trying to shoulder and protect all her kids and grandies from grief in the various ways it assaults us while trying to come to terms with this heavy loss. Sam was such a lovely boy - we never know when our time is up. Love your people. Hug them. Take photos: be there for them. ” On behalf of the Colback family, it hurts to share the devastating news of the passing of Samuel Colback. Sam had an accident while snorkelling alone at Mutton Bird Island, Albany.

Through Sam's 24 years of life, he brought a huge level of care and kindness everywhere he went. He had a love for the unlovely and his heart cried for those who sat on the fringes and in the shadows.

If he wasn't playing his Djembe (drum) on the corner of some street with some characters, he might be with his friends and family, making them laugh and watch as he backfliped, juggled something dangerous or swung out of a tree. No matter what he was doing, he was passionate about it. He was the Entertainer who brought Joy to everyone around him while at the same time, had people questioning if he was still in one piece!

Our family only found out about Sam on Monday evening by a knock on the door. There is going to be a week or two before plans can be made for a funeral in Albany.

We'll make sure details are posted for those who want to come celebrate Sam's life and say goodbye. But right now, Sam is Entertaining Angels.”
