In Loving Memory of Santhosh – A Life That Gave So Much
Donation protected
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved friend, brother, and soul of the community Santosh, who bravely fought Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APML) until the very end. His strength, laughter, and warmth touched countless lives, and now it's our turn to give back to someone who gave so much of himself to others.
He was someone who was always there for people who needed any help or support. Even if it was just a place to crash, or to cook them a meal. Santosh always went out of his way to care for others, and made you feel at home in a foreign country. Every time someone would go over to his house, he would sit on his sofa and say, “Bro, let's make this new dish”, and look up the recipe quickly on youtube. The end result was always the most amazing dish you would have had.
Santosh made life look easy. He was absolutely self assured, proactive and well organised. Within the span of one day, he'd have organised a trip with a group of friends, cooked two amazing meals, gone to the gym, played badminton for a couple of hours, and put in 8 hours of work at a company. In between all this he'd call randomly and ask what are the chords for a kannada song so that he can practice it on the guitar. He was never one to be tired or bogged down by things around him. Infact, you'd meet him on a busy day and he'd say ‘ Maga, didn't see you for a long time. Come home, I'll cook something for you’.
He was incredibly hardworking, full of life, and brought joy into every room he walked into. He was an amazing singer and would dance like no one was watching. Santosh was also a huge cricket fanatic. Nothing made him more animated than an RCB match during the IPL tournament. Watching the match with him was an experience in itself, where he would constantly be on the edge of his seat, cheering for every ball as if he were playing in the match himself, and pointing out every single tactic in the book. Those moments of excitement, laughter, and celebration are memories we will forever cherish.
He faced his illness with incredible courage and grace. Even when his body grew weaker, his spirit remained unshaken. That was Santosh, always smiling, always giving, always strong.
As we come to terms with this heartbreaking loss, our hearts go out especially to Santosh’s wife, whom he married less than six months ago, and his family. Their life together was just beginning, and it ended far too soon. We’re doing what we can to ease the emotional and financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. The costs of funeral arrangements, travel, and final rites are significant, and we are reaching out for your support.
Even if you didn’t know Santosh personally, his story is a powerful reminder of the impact one kind, generous soul can have. He lived with heart, gave without hesitation, and uplifted everyone around him.
By contributing to his GoFundMe, you’ll be helping his family face the challenges ahead. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
Please consider donating and sharing his story. Together, we can honour a life that gave so much, and bring hope and relief to those he’s left behind.
With love and gratitude,
Team Santosh
