Cremation & Memorial Support for Sarah Jean (Begay) Azhocar
Donation protected
My Mother, Sarah Jean (Begay) Azhocar was a beautiful Navajo woman. Mother of four and youngest of ten. She cared deeply about her family.
Although her and I were estranged for many years, our relationship was renewed this past year during a personal visit in April. Since then, we had been reacquainting with one another over numerous phone calls, where we shared deep conversation, memories, laughter, and tears. Through each interaction, we began healing the sacred bond between mother and daughter.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, she was admitted to the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in critical condition. She has been battling liver issues for some time and her health had declined rapidly. On the following day, she was put on life support due to multi-organ failure.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with family gathered around her bedside, Sarah transitioned peacefully to be with her ancestors.
The funds raised here will support the cremation services and costs associated with a celebration of life.
Any support during this significant phase of my Mother's journey will be greatly appreciated and ensure we honor her memory in a meaningful and heartfelt way.
