In loving memory of Shahla Goudarzi

On December 22nd 2019 our mother, Shahla, lost her battle with cancer.  We are saddened greatly by her loss, but we know she is in a more peaceful place. Shahla battled cancer for nearly 10 years. During these 10 years, we are grateful for the caring hearts of so many friends, family, doctors, nurses and caregivers.

As we grieve the loss of our beloved mother, we wanted to recognize the special contribution of one particular caregiver.

Over the past year, our mother was cared for daily by Ms. Ghorban. Words cannot express how grateful we are for this angel God sent us during the most difficult time in our lives. 

Ms. Ghorban was so important to Shahla and they developed a very close bond. Through this relationship, we learned that Ms. Ghorban immigrated to the US to escape conflict in Afghanistan. She brought with her 4 children, but lost her husband tragically on the journey. 

To recognize Ms. Ghorban’s selfless and loving care, we ask those wishing to express condolences to our family to instead consider contributing to the Ghorban family. This is a gift in Shahla’s honor to help the Ghorban family establish their lives in the US. 

We want to thank friends and family for your love & support during this time. We will be grateful for those who choose to help the Ghorban family in honor of our dear mother, Shahla.
