In Loving Memory of Shamus "Moose" Keough

Donation protected
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to inform the community of the death of 18-year-old  Shamus “Moose” Keough who unexpectedly passed away on December 23rd, 2018.

Shamus attended Green Woods Charter School from kindergarten through eighth grade. He then attended Science Leadership Academy for high school where he as a current senior would have graduated from this coming June.  We know how proud Jeanne and Dennis and their family are of Shamus’s accomplishments as one of the leaders of the Science Leadership Academy’s Students Run Philly Style team. He was a deeply loved member of his family and his community and will be missed dearly.

Shamus’s passing will deeply affect us all.  At this time of year, it is even more difficult to handle tragic losses such as this.

This campaign was started at the request of both the Green Woods Charter School and Science Leadership Academy communities who expressed wishes to support the Keough's and help to offset the expenses of this unexpected tragedy.

Any funds collected will go first to the family to defer the cost of funeral expenses.  Any additional funds collected will then be put towards a memorial bench at Gorgas Park where Shamus played as a child and/or continuing Shamus's Science Leadership Academy Senior Capstone Project.  Shamus's goal, which was personal to him and his family, was to fill the pantry at St. Christopher's Children's Hospital, Oncology Clinic in Philadelphia where as a young child Shamus was treated and successfully beat a childhood Leukemia Diagnosis.

Thank you in advance for your support.
