In Loving Memory of Sheku Kabia

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sheku Kabia, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Sheku, born on March 22, 1994, left this world on January 30, 2024, at the age of 29, leaving a void that can never be filled.

For those fortunate enough to have known Sheku, his kindness, humility, and unwavering dedication to his goals were truly remarkable. He embodied patience, persistence, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of sharing in his presence. Sheku was not only devoted to his faith, but he was also a pillar of support for his mother, Hawa, and his little sister, Fanta.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Sheku's educational journey took him through St. Augustine Catholic School, Archbishop Carroll High School, and culminated in a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Maryland. His love for literature, cultural arts, and his passion for helping those in need reflected the depth of his character.

Sheku departed from this world at home, in the early morning hours of January 30, 2024. He leaves behind his grieving mother, Hawa Sheriff, and sister, Fanta Kabia. As we continue to grapple with the loss of our shining light, we find solace in the outpouring of love and support from those who have reached out, sent flowers, and shared in our sorrow.

In memory of Sheku Kabia, we have established this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate any financial burdens on the family during this difficult time. Your contributions will enable them to focus on grieving and finding strength in the memories they shared with Sheku.

We appreciate the prayers, kind words, and gestures of sympathy that have been extended to us. Our angel, Sheku, may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit continues to hold us together. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

May God bless you all, and thank you in advance for your support.
