Shoeun Sao, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, passed away on October 3, 2023, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on May 12, 1962, in Battanbang, Cambodia to I Sao and Chorn (Vat) Vat, who survives, his life was filled with perseverance, dedication, and the expression of kindness in all aspects of life.

Shoeun's journey from Cambodia to Mishawaka served as a testament to his resilience. He worked tirelessly in the RV industry as a welder, demonstrating skillful craftsmanship and dedication in every project he undertook.

His interests and passions were as diverse as his talents. A devout Buddhist, Shoeun was an active member of the Wat Khmer Holland Temple. His contributions were significant in strengthening the Cambodian community in Indiana and neighboring states. A natural musician, he delighted friends and family with his ability to play every instrument he touched, and his love for all kinds of music resonated in every melody he played.

Shoeun's love for his family was unwavering. He is survived by his loving wife Rattanak (Pok) Pok and his oldest daughter; Dany (Tavares) Sao-Smith of Pflugerville, TX. His only son; Ronny (Chennara Kim) Sao of Lowell, Mass., and his youngest daughter; Vichiny Sao of Osceola, IN.; grandchildren, Jade Vilayseng, Jaye Vilayseng, Jaben Vilayseng, Tavares Smith Jr., Malia Smith, Carter Soung, Levi Soung; two sisters, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews remember him fondly. Beyond his family, his generous nature and infectious laughter and smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

The GoFundme donations will assist with supporting funeral expenses and the family. Any contributions will be greatly appreciative.

Thank you,
Shoeun's love ones.
