In Loving Memory of Summer Kurtter
Donation protected
They say that the brightest stars burn out the quickest. Summer’s was one of the brightest. On Monday, May 13, 2024, our beautiful Summer Charles Kurtter passed away peacefully surrounded by love.
As our family and friends work through the difficult process of grieving the loss of Summer, we know that there is a yearning to honor her from all of those that are mourning with us.
Summer cared most about her family, her friends and her community. In this spirit, we have determined two ways to donate to one of two causes:
1. Donate to Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention Foundation (PFCCPP), https://www.pfccap.org, that was founded by her Surgeon, Dr. Armondo Sardi. PFCCPP’s mission is to advocate for cancer patients by making connections, providing education, and guiding patient navigation to improve the quality and length of their life; with a focus on breast, cervical, and rare abdominal cancers.
Dr. Sardi gave us the most beautiful gift of extra time with Summer, so we would like to focus non-profit donations to be directed toward his foundation.
2. Summer was fiercely protective of her loved ones. Her wish was not to focus on sadness and rather have her family take a trip to remember her bright light and to show her daughter, Hayes, that she is surrounded by immeasurable love.
If you would like to take this route, you can donate directly on this Go Fund Me Page.
We hope that Summer’s desire to keep her journey private and off social media will continue to be respected despite creating this link. It is intended for her family, friends and acquaintances to honor her through word of mouth.
Our family would like to thank you for the outpouring of love and support. Hearing your stories about the impact that she had while on earth reiterate that she will always be with us.
While the world will never be as bright, Summer’s light will continue to live on in each of us that was lucky to love her.
