In Loving Memory of Sung Hee Choe
Donation protected
On the morning of January 24, Alan received a call from his brother, Alex, giving him the news that his mom has COVID-19. Given his mom's underlying health issues, they were scared and worried but immediately tried to find the best way to keep her as healthy as possible and monitor her conditions. For almost two weeks, she fought so strongly against the deadly virus and there were signs of hope that she was getting better. However, on February 3, her pain became too unbearable and was admitted into the hospital. From there, the family continued to receive bad news after bad news of pneumonia, strokes, and lung collapse. On February 8, she quietly passed away in her sleep.
The family grieves for the sudden loss of their mother, grandmother, sister, and wife but they find comfort knowing that she is now with the Lord, free of pain and sin. They have peace knowing that she is in Heaven, eating whatever her heart desires and sleeping in comfort without doing dialysis every night. She will be missed for a very long time but they find hope in that they will one day see her again in Heaven.
During this difficult time, if you are able to and find it in your hearts to support financially, please consider donating to the Choe family to help with funeral expenses. A small service will be held for family and close friends on February 24 at California Mortuary in Downey, CA.
**All donations will go directly to the Choe family for funeral costs and hospital fees.**
