In Loving Memory of Tatay Jaime

In this time of sorrow, we reach out to you with heavy hearts. Otoniel P. Cerdenola, lovingly known as Tatay Jaime, left us on December 21, 2023, just as the festive season was upon us. This tragedy struck at a time when our family was least prepared, both emotionally and financially. We had eagerly anticipated celebrating Tatay Jaime's and his wife’s first Christmas and New Year in Canada with us, along with celebrating their 61st Wedding Anniversary on January 28th, envisioning a season filled with joy and warmth. They were expected to return home on January 31st.

In an unexpected event, he was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with a respiratory infection that caused his organs to collapse. He fought for almost a week, he showed that he still wanted to be with his family.

Instead of revelry, our family is grappling with the profound task of bringing him home to the Philippines. His unexpected departure has left us in a state of shock and financial strain, as we face the daunting challenge of repatriating him.

In this trying time, we humbly ask for your support to help repatriate Tatay Jaime. Your kindness in helping cover the expenses of transporting Tatay Jaime back to the land he so dearly loved would be an act of immeasurable compassion. It is our wish to honor his final request, to let him rest peacefully in his beloved hometown, amidst the landscapes and memories that shaped his remarkable life. Your contribution, no matter the size, stands as a heartfelt tribute to Tatay Jaime's enduring legacy. We are deeply grateful for your consideration and any help you can offer. Thank you for helping us bring Tatay Jaime home, allowing his spirit to rest in the tranquility and peace of his cherished homeland.
