In loving memory of Thais Nicole Torres Luna (23)

Thais Nicole Torres Luna, better known as Thao or Thai Thai, was horribly taken from our family at such a young age. During the middle of the night on September 28th, our precious girl could no longer find the strength to breathe on her own, even with the machines and medicine that she routinely used. Heartbreakingly our Thais suffered from a terrible respiratory attack that led to cardiac arrest before her mother could even leave the parking lot for the hospital. Unfortunately, our precious girl was pronounced brain dead upon arrival at the ER after valiantly being revived twice during EMS transport.

Always thinking about others and not wanting to be a bother, she tried to tough out her asthma attack from earlier that evening and just planned to make it to the ER with her mom driving because she had given herself multiple treatments. Unfortunately, similar to millions of other families suffering through our current economy, Thais had been denied for state insurance, and was in between insurance carriers. This led to no other options that wouldn’t financially weigh down her and her family. Still hopeful to even hear back from the Medicaid Appeal program, Thais trekked through working and going to school every single day in hopes of creating a better future for her and her family.

At this time, our family humbly asks for your support with the funeral and medical treatment costs for Thais Nicole Torres Luna as a final thank you for being one of the brightest lights in every person’s life that she encountered. As even in the end with our precious girl Thais deciding to save so many lives as an organ donor.

It will be extremely difficult because Thais had the biggest heart where her love and care were infinite, but our family and community will do our best to keep her life mission alive.
