In Loving Memory of Theresa Joanne Reimer Anzack
It is with the humblest heart that I announce the passing of my mom, Theresa Joanne Reimer Anzack. After a long battle with stage four ocular melanoma, she was called to heaven August 6th, 2020. It is known that she was welcomed with open arms by her son, my brother, CPL Joseph John Anzack Jr., who tragically lost his life in 2007, defending our freedom while deployed in Iraq. It was these hardships that molded her to become the loving generous woman that we all know her as.
She wanted it to be known, you all had an impact on her life, great and small. Our belief is that each person who crosses our paths is an angel sent to help our spiritual development on our journey to becoming a more loving and kind natured human being, and you all have contributed to her enlightenment in so many ways. Because of you, she walked with her head held high to meet her maker and was welcomed through those pearly gates without hesitation. It was her honor to cross each and every one of your paths and contribute to your enlightenment just the same.
Through her life, my mom realized that the way the universe works is that in order to receive, one must first give. She dedicated her life to the service of others, often putting the needs of others before her own. Naturally, working as a waitress was her calling. Yes, the tips were good, but she received a much greater payment by means of smiles and thank you’s from her patrons. Even in her sobriety, she took pride in sharing her story in meetings and with friends, in hopes that another would be encouraged and uplifted. After the loss of her only son, she Dived deep into the service of friends and family; through uplifting others she uplifted herself. I cannot put into words the kindness and generosity that my mom has put into the world after losing so much in life, it’s exemplary. God has surely poured blessings down on her and our family for the sacrifices made and the dedication my mom held in her heart. I’m so deeply honored to be her daughter and to continue her legacy of service and kindness, and I strive everyday to be as exceptional as her.
It was important to her that her friends and family stay healthy and happily joined with their own families, so in lieu of a memorial and church service amidst Covid-19, this go fund me will serve as her remembrance. We ask that instead of flowers or gifts sent to the family, a small donation be made. The proceeds will fund any final arrangements, and all excess funds will be donated to Saint Jude’s Children’s hospital, and Joe’s Gifts, a non-profit organization founded in memory of her son CPL Joseph Anzack Jr.
Theresa Joanne Reimer Anzack is survived by myself, her daughter, Casey Jo Anzack, her son in law Matthew V. Higham, her brother, Steven Reimer, her sisters, Joyce Monte Reimer and Pamela Reimer, her nieces, Dustyn Cipperly, Nichele Thomas, Sherlee Bernhardt, Megan Reimer, Nicole Reimer, Betty Jo Porter, Michelle Walks, Jillian Ayers, and Jessica Daphne Ayers, her nephews, Dylan Reimer, Robert Walks, Jack Porter, Anthony Cipperly, and Nick Ingram, and numerous more of her growing, beautiful, loving family.
Thank you all for joining our family as we remember and honor a true Viking warrior. May God bless you and keep you forevermore.
