May 27, 1966 - February 6, 2021
My heart is breaking for my twin brother Timothy Wright. He is 6 minutes younger than me.
On January 18th, 2021 Tim went to mow a friend’s yard for a little extra money. Shortly after he started to work, the friend called my sister Myra and said, “You need to come get Tim, something is terribly wrong with him.” He was having trouble pushing the lawnmower and having difficulty breathing.
Tim went home and said he needed to rest.
Two days later on January 20th Timothy was admitted to Houston Methodist Willowbrook hospital. Within a few days he was diagnosed with advanced cirrhosis of the liver and pneumonia with severe fluid buildup in his lungs and abdomen. My brother was sedated and put on a ventilator and tubes to drain the fluid from his body.
Due to Covid virus situation we were not allowed to see him in person they said unless his situation was terminal and just like that we didn’t get to hold him, hug him or pray with him in person...just a few Zoom calls and then Tim was gone.
On February 6, 2021 at 7:40am my twin brother passed away. This was and is the hardest time of my life. When we were kids, Tim and I went everywhere and did everything together. The last time I saw Timothy in person was New Year’s weekend. He was in his room at my sister’s and I went in and said “Hello” and tried to talk with him. Tim rolled over a little in bed and looked at me and smiled. I still remember that smile, he looked like the little boy he used to be.
We are both 54yo now and I feel a big emptiness in me for my twin brother.
In the last 10 years, Tim had fallen on hard times with lost love that led to drinking and loss of hope. He lived under a bridge for a time until our sister Pauline took him off of the streets and together with her daughter, provided Tim a home with them. He always kept her yard landscaped well and looking good. I was unable to help Tim pull through and regain hope while he was living and this grieves me deeply.
I would like to provide a funeral/memorial for Timothy and a proper burial with closure for family and friends. We know this past year has been hard on many financially. Tim had no insurance.
Timothy was a loving brother and one of the strongest and hardest working men I have ever known. If you would like to help us in any way to cover cremation, funeral and burial expenses we appreciate any help at all, nothing is too small. And when you donate, please also share a memory with us if you knew my brother Timothy. Prayers greatly appreciated at this time for our family.
Thank you and God bless you all,
Thomas R Wright
