In Loving Memory of Tony Green: Support for Roxanne
Donation protected
Tony Green was a beloved and talented local musician, husband, father, brother, friend, mentor and inspiration to many. In 2021, his life took a turn when he went on medical leave after being misdiagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve damage. He and his wife, my sister Roxanne, believed he would fully recover after undergoing what turned out to be three unnecessary surgeries. Their hope for his return to work quickly turned into a difficult, ongoing battle.
In early 2023, Tony was diagnosed with Flail Arm Syndrome (FAS), a rare form of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). FAS caused severe weakness and atrophy in Tony’s hands and arms. His diminished ability left him unable to return to work. Even after exhausting their savings, mounting medical expenses forced Tony and Roxanne deeply into debt, unable to retain his life insurance and facing bankruptcy.
Sadly, despite their strength and perseverance throughout his illness, Tony passed away suddenly and sooner than expected on February 19th, leaving Roxanne to face an unimaginable loss. With the added stress of their financial situation, she now finds herself at risk of losing their home.
We are asking for your help in supporting Roxanne during this incredibly difficult time. Your donation could help fulfill Tony’s wish for her to be able to stay in their home for a while, keep some stability in her life, and begin to heal from this profound loss. Even if you’re unable to contribute, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your support, and please keep Roxanne in your thoughts and prayers as she navigates through this devastating heartbreak.
