'In Loving Memory of Trisha Pope'

My name is Gloria Pope, and I am starting this GoFundMe to assist with travel expenses related to the sudden and unexpected death of Trisha Pope- beloved daughter and sister.

Trisha has chosen to make Portugal her home for the past 12 years and has painstakingly and lovingly restored an old house on an acreage, out of which she has been operating an Airbnb. She truly integrated into the culture and lifestyle there and was dearly loved by hundreds of people who have crossed her path or her doorstep. She was known for her enthusiasm and joy for life, and fearlessness on taking on new and different things. She will be missed by so many in the Portuguese community, but even more so by the family left behind.

On July 14/22 her vehicle went off the road near her home, killing her instantly. We are trying to adjust to this new reality without her, and we are heartbroken.

In the aftermath of the loss, our family will need to be travelling from various locations across the Americas and Spain to Portugal in order to deal with Trisha's affairs, as well as to provide each other love, hugs, and support.

Travel right now comes with considerable cost, and any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated by all members of the family.

We thank you just as much for all the thoughts and prayers that have been conveyed to various members of the family as we struggle to deal with the reality of our loss.
