Hi, my name is Annie and I am Uliana Julie's cousin. I am writing this on behalf of our whole family. Our entire family is heartbroken and devastated after recieving the news of Uliana Julie's tragic passing in a deadly car accident in Ukraine on Sunday, May 21, 2023. It was a complete shock to us all, and we are so grateful for everyones love, prayers and support during this difficult time of grief and heartache.
Uliana Julie leaves behind her beloved husband Nate, parents Slavik and Olga, siblings Nadia, Paul and Andrey and her neice and nephew whom she loved as her own children, Olivia and Jacob. As they are grieving the loss of their beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt, there is also the unimaginable pain of cordinating to bring Uliana Julie home from Ukraine so they can say their final goodbyes and lay her to rest at home in Seattle, Washington.
Uliana Julie has always been so proud of her Ukrainian roots, and loved her home country. Upon the war breaking out in Ukraine, Uliana Julie was heartbroken and felt it so strongly on her heart to serve the people of Ukraine. Many fled from the country, but Uliana Julie was drawn to go back to her birth country and "do her part" as she often said. She truly did do her part heroically and selflessly.
Uliana Julie seflessly spent many months in 2022 in Ukraine, working relentlessly. She helped soldiers, delivered materials, fundraised, cordinated and so so much more. We can share endless stories of all the good work Uliana Julie did in Ukraine and in support of Ukraine. She was able to come home to reunite with her family and friends in December 2022 and spent 2 months at home until she went back to Ukraine in February 2023. She was planning to return back home in the next coming weeks to make it home to Seattle for her husbands birthday at the beginning of June. We never thought God would have such different plans for her to go to her eternal home instead.
Uliana Julie was so brave, curageous and passionate for justice. We will never forget how heroic and selfless Uliana Julie was in doing her part to see Ukraine's victory.
Our hearts ache knowing we have to move forward on this side of eternity without Uliana Julie, but we are grateful we got to love and be loved by such an incredible soul like Uliana Julie. We will miss her dearly through tears and heartache, but we find hope and comfort in knowing we will be reunited with her one day soon. We know she is having a big dance party in heaven!
If it is on your heart to donate, the funds that are raised will be used to ease the financial burden of bringing beloved Uliana Julie home and funeral costs.
We thank you all in advance for your generosity and support.
