In Loving Memory of Valerie Fletcher
Tax deductible
It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of Valerie Fletcher. Val died unexpectedly on August 10th after experiencing a heart attack from which she was unable to recover. She was only 58 years old.
Val was an amazing person to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will be many things to many people, each as we knew her and remember her. For Val, her work as a co-founder of Veteran’s Outreach of Pennsylvania (VOPA) was of particular importance. Having spent her life helping people both as individuals and families, Val wanted to help homeless veterans who need services and support to regain an empowered and fulfilling life. VOPA specifically is working to create a community of tiny homes for veterans in the Harrisburg area who are currently experiencing homelessness. The community will provide shelter and include a center for their support and connections with services and other organizations that will help them ultimately move to permanent housing. For more information and complete details, please see veteransoutreachofpa.org.
To help further and honor Val's dream, if we can raise $50,000 in her memory, we can dedicate one of the tiny homes in her name. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will go to a cause that is both vitally important and would certainly have made her very happy.
All donations go directly to VOPA by GoFundMe in memory of Val. Thank you!
