Verlean passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 3, 2019. Verlean was a hardworking, loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. Verlean possessed an unwavering faith of positivity that carried her through her earthly journey and will welcome her on her next.
Verlean also known as “Mom” was the pillar of her family. Verlean had a fruitful career in public service for over 40 years. After Working for CT Transit for 24 years Verlean transitioned to the town of South Windsor’s Public School Transportation. Verlean simply refused to drop the children off up the road, so she drove them directly in front of their house instead which lead to her being terminated after 12 years. Verlean didn’t stop there, she continued working within the public school transportation sector for an additional 7 years at First Student until she entered into eternal life with her loving family by her side. Verlean had plans of retiring in two weeks time so that she can enjoy her retirement with her grandchildren.
Verlean’s generosity and love for people did not stop once she hung up her keys after a long days work. When she came home, she shined even brighter because she could be with her family. She loved nothing more than to hold her newest grandson, Karter, and chase Harlem around the house. She looked forward to attending Nahzyr’s sporting events and cheer him on from the stands. In addition to spending time with family she had a deep love for animals. She owned a dog Buba, turtle Huey, lizard Ranga and a bird Chico.
Verlean leaves behind her mother, brother many cousins, three children and grandchildren ages 2mo., 2yr and 16yr. Please find it in your hearts to help the family adjust during this unsettling time.
