In Loving Memory of Victor Vargas Gonzalez

With a tremendous amount of heartache, we mourn the loss of Victor Manuel Vargas Gonzalez of Calgary, AB. Loving husband to María Orta Flores, father to Wendy, Victor, José, and Noé, and grandfather to Mauricio, Victoria, Leah, Ivana, Alysson, Leonardo and Lukas. Older brother to Jorge and Georgina. Preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Manuela.

Victor, a talented Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, possessed an exceptional ability to apply his expertise in both professional and personal settings. Though initially reserved and introverted, he revealed a warm and engaging personality to those who knew him well. His interactions with family and friends were marked by genuine interest, clever humor, and captivating stories from his professional journey. Devoted to his family’s well-being, Victor dedicated countless hours of hard work to ensure they had everything they needed. He leaves behind a profound legacy—a loving family that includes one daughter and three sons who deeply admired him as a role model and an exemplary figure. As a family, it is our privilege and responsibility to honor his memory and carry forward the values he exemplified.

The family is grieving this loss. We are searching for the funds needed to pay for the funeral, burial/cremation, and final resting place. His family has started this GoFundMe to support his wife Maria in covering the unforeseen costs of a funeral, making arrangements, and the many other expenses of grieving that often get overlooked. This will also allow the immediate and extended family to gather and grieve together. The family has selected Maria Orta Flores as treasurer of this fundraiser, to administer the payment of immediate funeral costs.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Park Memorial Chapel- McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.

The memorial service will be held this Friday and is open to all who would like to come and celebrate his life with us.
