In Loving Memory of Virinder Aujla: Supporting His Family

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of Virinder (Vince) Aujla on September 29th. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, and to many, the life of the party. Virinder leaves behind his wife and three children, all of whom are deeply grieving his passing. His radiant smile could light up any room, his strength inspired everyone around him, and his determination to succeed showed us what it truly means to work for a better future for his family.

A Journey Toward the American Dream
At just 17 years old, Virinder came to America from India in pursuit of the American dream. He worked tirelessly in various industries, taking on any job he could find, from fast food (at over 10 different places, often working two jobs at a time), HVAC, home water filtration, and more. Through it all, he found his passion in the home water filtration business. He started as a junior technician and, through dedication and hard work, rose to lead technician. After over a decade of service, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing the very company he worked for, which he then led successfully by himself as the owner and sole technician for another 12 years.

Owning this business allowed Virinder to provide his family with a modest but comfortable life, where they never had to wonder where their next meal would come from. His hard work ensured financial stability, though by the time he was unable to work, no savings remained.

Beyond his hard work, Virinder was known for his infectious laughter, his love for sharing traditional Indian meals with his family, and his ability to bring people together. Whether he was helping a neighbor or sharing stories from being raised in India, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Recent Struggles
In August 2020, Virinder suffered a life-changing stroke due to a rare condition called arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which had been undiagnosed since birth. After multiple surgeries, three months in a coma, and five months in the hospital, he returned home, but the stroke left him paralyzed, unable to speak, and bedridden. The past four years were filled with tremendous challenges, but despite the difficulties, Virinder’s family cherished the moments they were able to share with him. On September 29th, he passed away suddenly but peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.

How You Can Help
Your support can offer relief to the Aujla family during this incredibly difficult time. The financial burden of funeral and traditional Indian ceremony costs is significant, and any contribution will help ease this strain.

Additionally, any funds exceeding these costs will be put toward helping Virinder’s youngest daughter with her college tuition as she aspires to attend the University of Virginia in 2025.

No donation is too small—every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for the Aujla family as we navigate this painful chapter. If you are unable to donate, please consider keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers, and sharing this fundraiser with your community.

Thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this time of grief.
