In Loving Memory of Wai Fong Leung

To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, our dear mother Wai Fong Leung has been critically ill fighting for her life following complications from contracting Covid-19 in early April 2020.  After a hard long two month battle against the virus and its complications, we as a family have made the painful and heartbreaking decision to withdraw care for her to allow her to pass comfortably and in peace.  Funeral plans are still being arranged.  

Wai was 70 years old and is the proud mother to Jen and Chris, a loving wife to Paul, an extraordinary big sister of 4 sisters (Doris, Emily, Peggy and Agnes), and an amazing daughter of our Grandmother Ching Lin (aka Paw Paw).  What has happened to Wai is an enormous shock to us and is still beyond our comprehension.  Just a month prior to her contracting the virus, Wai was given a last minute kidney transplant that made her feel invincible as it gave her a new lease on life which would have allowed her to do all the things she always dreamt of doing.  Understandably now, we’re all struggling to cope and deal with the pain of losing such an incredible, strong woman who still had so many things she wanted to conquer and places to go and see. 

For those who have not met her, Wai was an incredibly smart, charismatic and loving person who had the heart of gold and always knowing how to have a good laugh while making others laugh as well.  She had an indescribable spirit that was so pure and innocent that always made people feel at ease but was also a badass woman who knew how to get things done.  We'll miss that about her but will definitely carry that spirit onwards. 

We've received numerous emails, texts and messages from friends and loved ones asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left.  If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can.  All donations will go towards funeral arrangements for Wai.
