In Loving memory of Zachary Leo Marc-Aurele

Hi, I am John Marc-Aurele and I am fundraising in memory of my late son Zachary Leo Marc-Aurele.

Zac was born in Worcester, MA and grew up in Leicester, MA. He attended Jacob Hyatt Magnet School in Worcester before moving to Leicester. In Leicester, he played little league baseball and intramural basketball. At Leicester HS he played football, basketball, soccer and tennis. He even tried out for the field hockey team to support a friend who wanted to play. In college, he worked on political campaigns, promoted recycling activities and volunteered with a union group. After college, he signed up to work with Americorp and spent over a year in Alamosa, CO working to help people find jobs and fuel assistance. Zachary continued his commitment to service working for non-profit companies providing services to those in need - both in MA and MI.

Zachary loved music and his band, The Sunchokes, performed at Ralph's and other local venues around Worcester, MA. He loved reading everything from Plato & Marcus Aurelius to Vonnegut and Tolkien.

Zachary was taken from us suddenly and viciously by a senseless act of violence. He had recently moved to Detroit, MI with his soul mate Erin Johnson to follow their dreams of serving those in need. Zac's life was cut short way too soon but even in the time he was with us, he left a legacy of activism and service.

Funds donated here will be used to continue Zachary's legacy and support the things he felt were important in life.
