In Loving Memory: Support for Abdinasir's Family
Donation protected
Verily, the eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, but we will only say what pleases our Lord: Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Today, my first cousin was brutally murdered.
It is with a heavy heart that I share the story of my cousin, Abdinasir, a beacon of diligence and hope in our family. I first met Abdinasir during a visit to Somaliland in 2010. From that moment, it was clear he was destined for greatness. His work ethic and determination were unmatched, making him the pride and joy of our family.
Abdinasir's aspirations led him from Somaliland to the UK, where he achieved a Master's degree in Air Transportation Management. His dedication and expertise eventually earned him a respected position within the International Civil Aviation Organization in Somalia (ICAO), where he served with honour and distinction.
Tragically, on February 18, 2024, while on assignment in Mogadishu, Abdinasir's journey was cut short. He was found brutally murdered in his apartment, his body bearing the marks of a heinous and senseless act of violence. This devastating loss has left our family in shock and mourning, rallying together to support his bereaved wife and children, whom he adored and worked tirelessly to provide for.
In this time of unspeakable grief, I reach out to you with a plea for support. We are gathering funds to ensure that Abdinasir's family is cared for during this period of mourning and beyond. Your generosity can ease their burden, allowing them to grieve without the added stress of financial strain.
Let us come together in this moment of tragedy to offer our support and prayers for Abdinasir's family. May Allah (SWT) grant Abdinasir the highest ranks of Jannah, enveloping him in mercy and forgiveness. May He bestow upon his family patience and iman.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, 'The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,' and he held his two fingers together to illustrate (Bukhari).
He (SAW) also said 'Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for them in this world and the Hereafter (Muslim).
By donating to support Abdinasir's family, you embrace the message of these teachings, offering a hand of compassion to our brother's family. Your contribution is more than just a donation; it's a beacon of kindness, the kind we all hope for our families in times of need.
May Allah accept our efforts, forgive Abdinasir, and unite us all in Jannah. Ameen.
