Jorge's wife and family are grateful with the outpouring of messages for the loss of their husband, father, son, brother, grandfather. In lieu of flowers they have set up this page. The family has committed 100% of the funds to support their local church and a local non-for profit (TBD).
A Message from his Daughter Laura: I am heartbroken and incredibly saddened to share with my friends and family of the passing of my Papito Chulo. He died peacefully surrounded by his family and although I am constantly crying and still coming to terms with his death, I take comfort in knowing he was spiritually prepared and is no longer suffering or in pain.
I take pride in being his daughter and will forever be grateful to him for the many sacrifices, lessons and the love he gave me during his time here on earth.
Papito lindo, te extraño mucho pero se que siempre estarás al pendiente de nosotros. Te mando un abrazote y quiero que sepas que te quiero mucho y que le doy gracias a Dios porque tuve la dicha de tenerte como mi papá.
A Message from his Daughter Lulu: It is with a very very heavy heart that I share that my wonderful human being, my dad, passed peacefully, with respect and without pain or suffering on January 3rd. He was surrounded by my mom, sister, his father and myself and we held his hand throughout his passing. It was difficult but we take comfort in knowing he was not alone. Over the last 24 hours we have read the many postings from friends of the community, speaking to his character, one of integrity, compassion, leadership and empathy. That is who he was, not only with his loved community but in his professional and personal life. I will forever be grateful for what he taught me and how he always encouraged me to do right and to advocate and speak up. On behalf of my family we appreciate your outpouring and kind words.
