In Memoriam - Rev Fr. Mathew John - Family Fund

Dear Friends, 

2 Corinthians 1:3: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

 We have all heard about the sudden demise of  Rev. Fr. Mathew John ( Jomon Achen)  in Kerala, India.  Achen served as the Asst. Vicar of many of our churches, especially in Trivandrum Diocese,  including St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Nalanchira and St. Peter's & St Paul's Orthodox Church, Vattiyoorkavu.   A great leader and mentor who guided and lead numerous Youth Forum and Sunday School initiatives, our church and community has a lost a spiritual Father and a  humble friend at a very young age. Achen spearheaded the disaster relief efforts within the youth community of our church at the time of the great flood that struck Kerala two years back. 

Achen was called to eternal glory on Saturday, May 22nd , 2021  and leaves behind Siji Kochamma and their 3 young kids amidst this deadly pandemic.  This has happened so suddenly and we are feeling the need to help this young family during this time of struggle and hardship.  


Note: This gofundme fundraiser aims to help ease their financial burdens amongst tough decisions and uncertainties with the proceeds directly going to the family.

This is the time of prayers , healing and most importantly giving... and we also share that responsibility of taking care of our own.
