In memory: Jackie Jurmain student award (annual)

Jackie Jurmain (Caleb) was an elementary school teacher in Toronto who left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues at several schools -- most notably during her extended time at Glen Ames Senior Public School.

In her memory we have set up this fund that will directly support an annual award to be given to one Grade 8 student each year at Glen Ames who goes above and beyond in demonstrating a passion toward social justice through their creative expression and/or leadership in the school or community.

This reflects some of the passions beyond the classroom that Jackie held close and inspired in her students.

Funds raised here will be transferred in spring 2022 to an account managed by the Toronto District School Board so that this award can be delivered in perpetuity.
