In memory of Rahena Khanom
As-salamu alaykum
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ,
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
We lost our amazing mother, Rahena Khanom, on 8th February following a hospital admission due to a heart attack which unfortunately led to a cardiac arrest. Our mum was the most selfless, loving and giving woman ever. She spent her life giving away our zakat and sadaqa to those in need in Bangladesh- it was what she was known for and inshaAllah we pray that Allah SWT rewards our mum for all her efforts and grants her a place in jannah.
The beauty of Islam is that even when someone has passed, they can still reap the rewards of good deeds.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three:
Sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. endowment)
Beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind and others benefit from it)
A righteous child who will pray for him.”
As we continue to pray for our mum everyday, we also want to continue her legacy of giving to those in need, so please help us fundraise to provide as many water pumps as possible in Bangladesh (via the charity Simple Reason where 100% of donations go towards the cause). One pump costs £200- we would love to build as many as we can in our mothers name.
