In Memory of Abdul Hakkim
Donation protected
Our beloved friend Abdul Hakkim left us on March 13, 2019 1 PM eastern following a long battle against illness in the Providence hospital ICU, Columbia, SC.
Born and raised in a religiously faithful and community serving family from the South Indian city of Chennai, India, Hakkim led a very humble and meaningful life till his last breathe. He was an active volunteer in the local Mosque and the Tamil community association. He was the sole breadwinner for the family with a Junior high schooler son and middle school going daughter.
"Hakkim never hurts anyone he never lets anyone even to talk bad about anyone" - stated by the Imam of the Mosque during his last prayer.
It's a huge loss for Hakkim's family and the local communities which he served. While many good hearts from the local community is providing all the necessary emotional and logistical help, the current and future events will need extensive financial support and can use some family, friends and community contributions in addition to our thoughts and prayers.
Many have reached out via emails, texts and messages over last 10 days asking how to help his family and how they can contribute to secure his children's future. This campaign has been created as a way to offer our thoughts, prayers and contributions towards helping the family sail through the time until they can be financially support themselves.
Our supporting thoughts, prayers and donations will help overcome the inconsolable grief struck on the family and help rebuild their life from shatters. Together we all can make it happen. Every donation counts, however small.
