In Memory of Ada

Donation protected
We are raising funds for Adaluz Cabezas Arana ("Ada") after her tragic passing on November 30th, 2019.  Now is our chance to reach out and help her beloved husband, Christopher, and their daughter, Amy, with funds to help cover funeral expenses and hospital bills that accrued from Ada's week spent in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. After covering end of life expenses, funeral costs, and legal fees, her husband plans to donate any leftover funds to the Lupus Foundation of America. Please take a moment to help out this beautiful family, as they mourn such a beautiful soul.

In the words of Ada's husband, Christopher:

Ada was born and raised in Colombia, but had big dreams of coming to the United States. Her life however, was full of tragedy and struggle. In her early 20's, after the birth of her daughter, Amy, she was diagnosed with Lupus when her kidneys failed. She fought to stay alive on dialysis for two years before she was gifted a kidney from her brother. Even as she struggled with so many things health wise, she filled the lives of those who knew her with deep love and a passion for living life to its fullest every day. Ada taught herself English, and I was fortunate to meet her in 2011, and eventually marry her in 2017. In 2019, she achieved a lifelong dream by legally immigrating to the United States to start our life together, with our family in Pennsylvania.

Ada was a woman bursting with confidence, humor, and many artistic talents.

She left this world on November 30th after a battle with a lung complication. She was one of God's children, a beautiful light in a world filled with darkness. She left me for the better. She left us all for the better...

Beautiful words written last year by Ada:

Life is a struggle- whatever you're struggling with, it helps to hear words of encouragement that remind us that we all take knocks in life, but the best things in life come through persistence. Whether you've just had another setback chasing your dreams, been rejected by someone you care about, faced tragedy, or you're just feeling drained from the ups and downs of this journey we call life, remember that things can turn around in an instant. All you have to do is keep moving forward, even when it feels like it would be easier to just lay down and give up. Thank you to every person, friend and family member to pray for my health conditions!!! God bless you...

-Information about Ada's memorial will be shared soon. The family is planning to have a bilingual broadcast online, so that family and friends in Colombia will be able to share in the celebration of Ada's life.

Thank you for reading about dear Ada, and making a donation to help Ada's husband and daughter during this difficult time. God Bless You!

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." --Matthew 11: 28-30
