In memory of Al Morgan and support Rhea
Donation protected
Hi my name is Rausheen and I am fundraising for Rhea Morgan. Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Rhea, knows what a kind, loving and selfless soul she truly is. Rhea is the person who is always there. You don’t need to call and ask for her help because she is already there offering it without hesitation. This is how Rhea interacts with people close to her, but it is also how she cares for others in her chosen career as a Nurse. She has been a Nurse now for over a decade, and her Patients benefit from her thoughtfulness every day.
Several months ago, Rhea’s Dad was diagnosed with cancer. It has been a difficult time for the entire family, and of course Rhea stepped up to help in every way possible.
During what was already a hard time for everyone, the unimaginable happened. While enjoying a fun weekend getaway with friends snowmobiling, Rhea’s husband Al stepped off his snowmobile and dropped to the ground, his heart stopped. Al’s friends acted quickly starting CPR and continued for almost an hour until he was airlifted to the local hospital. Despite all efforts they were unable to save him.
Al was only 57 years old. He had a passion for working on trucks, motorbikes and snowmobiles. He passed away doing something he truly loved. Al enjoyed his work as a truck driver for Home Hardware (a Crane Operator by trade). He put a piece of himself into everything he did.
The thing Al loved the most and what made him the most proud was his blended family with Rhea which consisted of 4 children, 2 grandchildren…and in true Al style…a few extras he adopted along the way.
To say it simply, Al was the greatest.
The admiration and respect Rhea and Al showed for each other was apparent in everything they did. Al was so supportive of Rhea and her family. When Rhea’s parents needed care he and Rhea shared a home with them so they could both help care for them. Recently, Rhea’s Father has been in and out of the hospital and is now about to begin treatment at the Kelowna Cancer Clinic. This will require Rhea to drive him to and from Kelowna and take care of him. Rhea was worried about taking time off work but knew everything would work out because Al would be home to take care of things in her absence.
Rhea is now facing this without her partner, her Rock, her Everything, the one she counted on for everything.
This is why we are asking for your support. Rhea is now left to grieve the loss of her husband, pay for funeral expenses, take care of her parents and her family, and transition to having a single income. It’s an awful lot to handle all at once.
We would like to provide Rhea with the time she needs to grieve and care for her Father without worrying about one more thing.
No contribution is too small, and every donation will be so appreciated.Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page will mean the world to us.
Aside from the financial support we know that the kindness everyone is showing will help bring light to an impossible situation. Thank you so much for your generosity, your prayers, and your support.
