In memory of Alejandro Apilado
Our father Alejandro Apilado lost his battle with COVID-19 on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 3:33pm in Anchorage, Alaska. The past 11 days that he was in the hospital have been an absolute nightmare for the family. Not being able to be with Alejandro physically due to COVID restrictions. No final hugs or kisses.
He can be described as being a hard worker, someone who continued to work up until his hospital admittance. He enjoyed traveling to the Philippines and taking care of his chickens and roosters. He was an avid lover of sports, mainly football and basketball. He loved to sing and also loved his 6 grandchildren with all of his heart.
This GoFundMe has been set-up on behalf of the family to help cover the costs of the unexpected loss of a husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend. No donation is too small, and your support will be greatly appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are still being determined at this time, and we are also in the process of creating a memorial account for those who choose not to donate through this site. After the funeral, his body will be flown to California so he may rest alongside his parents, brother, and sister.
We would like to thank his medical team who went above and beyond to keep the family apprised of updates, whether good or bad. They took time out of their busy schedules to set-up FaceTime calls and Zoom meetings so that the family could spend time with Alejandro in his final days. They did everything imaginable to keep him alive and did their best to grant our requests. We would also like to thank everyone for all of your blessings and prayers during this difficult time.
