In Memory of Amanda Wager

Amanda Marie Wager, taken too soon from us, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2024, due to a tragic car accident. She was born on March 4, 1991, in Brockton, MA, to Dawn M. Shannon and Brian Wager. Amanda spent her childhood in Abington, MA, until the age of 12, when her family moved to Raymond, NH.

Amanda's life was marked by warmth, kindness, and a deep love for those around her. She was a familiar face at Dunkin' Donuts, where she worked for many years, not just serving coffee but forming lasting bonds with coworkers and customers alike.

Animals held a special place in Amanda's heart; from her childhood spent with horses to her current companionship with her quirky and endearing cat, she found joy and comfort in their presence. The outdoors beckoned her spirit, and she cherished the tranquility of nature, finding solace in hikes through the mountains of northern NH and peaceful camping trips under the stars.

Amanda's compassion knew no bounds. Even from a young age, she felt drawn to helping others, envisioning a career in social work to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need. Her innate generosity and empathy were evident to all who knew her.

Among Amanda's greatest treasures was her relationship with her sister, Jenna. Their bond transcended age differences, a testament to the deep love and mutual admiration they shared. However, Amanda's greatest pride and joy was her role as a mother to her beloved son, Kyle Parker. She poured her heart into nurturing and guiding him, celebrating his every achievement with unwavering pride.

Amanda's infectious laughter and playful spirit brightened every room she entered. Her ability to effortlessly blend humor with a comforting presence made her a cherished friend and confidant to many. Inside and out, she radiated a beauty that captivated all who crossed her path.

Amanda leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be forever cherished by her family: her devoted son, Kyle Parker; her loving mother and stepfather, Dawn and John "Jack" Shannon; her father and step-mother, Brian and Stefanie Wager; her adoring sister, Jenna Shannon; sister, Thea two brothers, Daniel and Nicholas; her maternal grandparents, Judy Dolloff and Donald Gray, and step-grandmother Doreen Gray; her grandmother Catherine Shannon; her paternal grandparents, Judy Bandis and Arnold Salvesen and step-grandfather, Bill Bandis; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Shannon.

Amanda's sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and love.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH.

The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

We are raising funds to help with the future expenses for Amanda's son, Kyle Parker. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
