In Loving Memory of Andrew “Andy” Phillip Cantu

June 20th, 1972 – February 10th, 2025

There are no words that can fully capture the depth of loss we feel in our hearts. Andy was a proud and extraordinary father to Leighton and Zach and grandfather to Kamila, loving son to Juan Paul Cantu and Guadalupe Amelia Castro Cantu, and cherished brother to Joe, Naomi, David Patrick and Danny. Andy was more than a friend—he made everyone feel like family, a light in our lives, and someone who made the world a better place just by being in it. His laughter, kindness, and presence will never be forgotten.

One of the things we will always cherish is how he loved to bring people together around food. He was always the first to invite people over for dinner, making sure no one ever felt alone. Whether it was a small gathering or a big event, he would volunteer to cook without hesitation, pouring his heart into every meal. And before we ate, he prayed—openly, sincerely, and with a faith that was as steady as his kindness. That was just who he was—always giving, always including, always leading with love.

Though his time with us was too short, the love and memories he gave us will last forever.
