In Memory of Annie's Love and Light

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected and sudden passing of Ann-Marie Allen. She was a bright, loving, thoughtful, and warm mum, daughter, sister, friend, and so much more, to all who had the joy of knowing her.

Ann-Marie, whom many knew as “Annie” or “AM”, was also abundantly nurturing, giving, and so very selfless. She worked for The Ivey Academy, part of Ivey Business School at Western University in London, ON, Canada for 27 years as a Program Manager–turned Client Relations Officer. She formed close and authentic relationships, loving her work family as her own. 

Annie always had the most caring spirit and effortless ability to relate, connect and comfort people around her. Any time you were in her presence, you felt the warmth and freedom to be yourself. Wherever she went, she held and created space for others to feel/be safe — just by being her authentic self. Her creative and adventurous heart loved writing, art, books/reading, music, dancing, singing, travelling! She loved experiencing and cherishing all the moments of life we take for granted or let passby. She loved living life to the fullest!

We always thought we would have more time.

Her passing came as an incredible shock that we were not prepared for emotionally, nor financially. The unfortunate fact that our beautiful “AM” died away from home, out-of-town while working, added more financial hardship to the already costly process involved with her after-death plans. We are asking for help to support having her laid to rest in London, surrounded by those who knew and cared for her. Donations would also go towards aiding the financial security of her two daughters (Ibhade “Ivy” and Ebehi), of whom she is survived by. This was a family of three for as long as many people have known them: a mum and her two girls.
