In Memory of April Kay Pray
Donation protected
After a year-long battle with autoimmune hemalytic anemia, sadly April passed on Monday, March 16, 2020 due to a sudden pulmonary embolism. I was by her side and am devastated and heartbroken. She is sorely missed by her husband, Nicholas Holder, and her family.
April was one of a kind. She was brilliant and compassionate. A beautiful soul and absolutely gorgeous. We literally did everything together and in nearly a decade we only spent one night apart (when she stayed in the hospital after her aunt had surgery). She will always be missed.
April loved politics, literature, history and so much more. She also had a great smile and we laughed constantly. I would say that we had always been in the same library just in different stacks. I used to call her my unicorn. While we were dating she asked, "what's a unicorn?" She of course thought it was slang or a euphemism, but I replied, "it's a mythical creature that's not supposed to exist." She snapped, "I know what a damn unicorn is! But what do you mean?" And I said, "just that: you are a mythical creature that's not supposed to exist."
Her obituary is available at the following web pages:

I have created this GoFundMe in her name to assist me and her family in paying for her final arrangements. If you can donate it is greatly appreciated.
